PHOTOS: Woman With The Longest Dreadlocks in The World Marries a Kenyan Man

A Kenyan man is making headlines across the globe after bagging himself a woman with the longest dreadlocks in the world.

Emmanuel Chege, a qualified hairstylist owns long dreadlocks of his own, but not as long as those of his newly found wife Asha Mandela from Florida, USA.

Chege is said to have met Asha online. He was greatly impressed by her 55 ft dreadlocks. The two chatted and love swept them off their feet like heavy storms in the high seas.

They would hook up when Asha visited Kenya eight months later for business and eight months after their first meeting, they married in Florida.

Asha is 50-years-old and has kept dreadlocks since she was a little girl.

She has vowed never to shave her head despite doctors warning her that she risks being paralysed from by the weight the locks are putting on her back.

Asha says since she met Chege, life has been relatively easy and lively. Chege spends much of his time grooming and tendering Asha’s locks.

“It’s really added spice in the bedroom and it does not get in the way of anything at all.

‘There are times when my hair will be on the bed with us and we can use it for whatever or we put it on the floor if we want it out of the way,” Asha said as quoted by Uber Blog .

She says that in Chege she has found a companion who has changed her and given her what she has been looking for.

“My husband helps me with everything with my hair. I’m so spoilt since he’s been taking care of it and I’ve got totally lazy. He will massage my scalp, groom my hair or twist or wash it. He does a really good job of taking care of it so that’s a plus,” she added.

The dreadlocks take two days to clean and dry and that is what Chege does most of his time.

Asha says once they have a child, they will ensure that their offspring’s hair will not come into contact with a comb.

She wants her child(ren) to be a rasta like the parents.

“If we are blessed with children, no comb is going to go on their head. There will be locks straight from birth, however long that takes to come in. If we going to be lucky enough to be blessed with a child, it’s going to be a cute little Rasta baby,” she said further.

The roots of dreadlocks can be trailed to the Rastafarians of Jamaica, and further, to Indian sages and yogis, but they have never been more popular or widespread than they are today.

It is said that dreadlocks originated with these eastern holy men. Possessing nothing, renouncing the world and possessions (not even a comb) they eschewed even personal grooming, hence the inevitable dreadlocks.

Dreadlocks get their name from Jamaican tradition. Those with ‘natty’ dreadlocks were to be dreaded or feared.

2015 KCSE MAY BE CANCELLED & STUDENTS FORCED TO RE-SIT

By JEMEDARI MWANAWAKIUME

Wednesday March 30, 2016 - The fate of the 2015 Kenya Certificate Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) now hangs in the balance after Members of Parliament suggested that it be cancelled and all students allowed to re-sit the exams this year.

Parliament, the Ministry of Education and the CID have as established that the exams were leaked and students cheated in a way that has never been seen before.

Legislators met Education Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiangi, yesterday and demanded for a fresh audit in the irregularities that rocked the 2015 national examinations.

The MPs expressed concerns over the audit earlier conducted by the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) officers, who have since been suspended for engaging in the exam leakage, and which saw results of over 5, 000 students cancelled, saying the earlier audit cannot be relied upon because the former officers are the chief suspects in the saga.

WHO WILL WIN?: ANOTHER BY-ELECTION IN RIFT VALLEY REVIVES RUTO-MOI RIVALRY

Nandi county Assembly Deputy Speaker, The late Hesbon Kiprop Metto.

By JEMEDARI Mwanawakiume

Deputy President William Ruto’s political strength in the Rift Valley is set to be tested again.

Some Kanu officials have have expressed confidence that they would defeat Ruto’s Jubilee in the Lelmokwo-Ngechek Ward by-election in Nandi county.

“It’s common knowledge that the Kericho polls were rigged and this time around we will not allow that to happen,” said Paul Kibet, a Kanu official, as published by The Star on Wednesday, March 30.

The seat fell vacant following the death of MCA Hesbon Metto in February. Metto was also the deputy speaker of the Nandi county assembly.

Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is yet to announce the voting date but Nandi Governor Cleophas Lagat has already assured Ruto that he would lead campaigns to ensure Jubilee retained the seat.

The Kericho senatorial by-election saw Ruto and Baring Senator Gideon Moi, and their supporters, involved in a protracted war words in what many saw as a battle for supremacy in the Rift Valley.

In the evening of March 7, IEBC declared JAP’s Aaron Cheruiyot the winner with 109,358 votes followed by Kanu’s Paul Sang with 56,307 votes.

Six days later, Kanu released its own results which showed that Sang had beaten Cheruiyot with close to 90,000 votes.

“From our audit and expert analysis, the Kanu candidate Paul Sang garnered 126,493 and Aaron Cheruiyot of JAP got 38,162. The rest of the candidates garnered a combined vote of 2,510,” said Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat.

Sang added that Jubilee used a geometric progression formula that ensured that every vote cast for the coalition’s candidate was multiplied by 1.5.

Despite their evidence, Kanu Chairman Gideon Moi said they would not be going to court as they do not have faith in the judiciary.
They claimed IEBC had acted in that manner in order to save DP Ruto from the embarrassment that would have come with the loss.

THE CORRUPT CAMPUS LEADERS

Kenya and Africa at large has been been missing on the map as far as development is concerned. Reason? CORRUPTION by those who occupy offices, those in position to change the African narrative to a more promising one. But then those leaders are not born corrupt, they are born, they see, they practice before they replace those they admire.

“Samaki huoza toka kichwani” is a phrase coined by the Swahili saying that the rot of a particular system states from the head, in this case if it were student leadership then the rot starts from the chairperson of that union or the vice chairperson going tearing down to the school based Student Organizations. Corruption is addictive , it starts from somewhere, it grows and blows up when one who was the mist corrupt in their youthful days manages to convince others to vote him as President or whatever post he/she decides to go for.

Kenyan campuses are the bedrock of corruption, power hungry students convincing comrades to vote them in, most of them from the villages deep down east and west seek sponsorship from corrupt politicians to fund their campaigns , they are very poor and are only looking for those posts to squander funds meant for needy students , once elected they form a cartel of poor students masquerading all over the place in suits ,and like you know In Kenya if you are a thief and you in a suit you are not likely to be caught , that explains why most graduates remain poor for the better part of their lives yet they still vote in Rich criminals to continue stealing from their pockets .

There is nothing terrible like handing over power to a student who only knows poverty, trust me he will steal from you and still from himself too, they are mean to the electorate and mean to themselves too. They are the type of people who will come top your house at lunch, wait till you cook, grab your meal and chase you out to dry in the scorching sun. They are very heartless. If you ever wondered why earth is not a better place than hell they just look at them.

They will sell you Campus Tour Tickets, which are meant to be free, they will want you to write positive things about them when the only positive thing bout them is their attitude to theft and corruption.

As long as Kenya still hangs petty thieves and elect the big ones to lead, they will still live in our midst but then their is no sense of students organizations if they are only feeding the nation with dictators, corruption lords and selfish individuals .

Say NO to corruption ,the occupants of those offices are thieves.

SIKU YA SHANI

Na Dickson Matiabe

Watoto huimba
Kwenye hivyo vibarabara
Taratibu vilivyobeta
Kisha kuhadithana
Hadithi ya vile vidazi
Walivyokula asubuhi
"Esuguku"
Ndivyo wanavyoiita siku hii
Siku mpya ya shani

Leo Bosibori yumo njiani
Ili akamwazime Moraa unga
Ili akawapikie wanawe vidazi
Katika siku hii mpya
Ambapo watasahau unywaji uji
Kisha atamsimulia kule kisa
Cha mumewe kutoweka nyumbani
Na kisha kunyapia nyumbani
Usiku wa manane
Usiku wa kiza totoro

Kwenye hivyo vibarabara
Vinavyobeta taratibu
Wazee wa kesho watapita
Kwa yao mingi mikogo
Huku vicheko
Vya dhihaka kuvipasua
Wakiicheka ile kesho
Iliyojificha kwenye vilima vile
Waonayo yaja wala haiji
Huku wakizungumza
Lugha yao ya kishetani
Kisha katika Siku hii
Watakua wamesahau
Hadithi ya yule kinyonga
Aliyepita kitongijini
Na kuwatemea watu mate
Ila, jua magharibi
Taratibu linapotua
Navyo videge kurejea viotani
Watakuwa wameshaingia mtegoni

Kwenye hayo makutano ya njia
Wazee wa juzi watakutana
Na vijiredio vyao mkononi
Kisha Kwenye hivyo vijabali na vijiwe
Polepole watajilisi
Huku wakisalimiana
Kwa mikono yao dhaifu
Kisha watakumbushana
Nyakati zile awali
Nyakati zilizo tamu
Walipowakamata swara kwa mikono yao
Kisha wataulaani wakati
Wakati uliodinda kushikika
Na kisha baada ya kukikata kiu
Watajikokota vyumbani mwao
Na kuliacha likazidi kutawala.

Does Beyoncé Really Have Her Own Church?

By JEMEDARI Mwanawakiume

– “Beyism”, “Mother Bey”, and even the “Beyble” all seem to be real components of the National Church of “Bey” –

The rumors are true. The National Church of Bey, an organization that recently formed the new religion.

Beyism (based on pop star Beyoncé Knowles), is a real organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. Although Beyoncé herself is not believed to be a part of it, she is the foundation of it and has so far not made a statement denouncing it.

The church’s founder, Pauline John Andrews, recently stated, “We are very disappointed in the failure of the public to recognize the existence of a divine Deity walking among them. Deity’s often walk the Earth in their flesh form. Beyoncé will transcend back to the spirit once her work here on Mother Earth has been completed.”

They believe that Beyonce “sits among the throne of Gods”

He continued, “As our congregation continues to swell, we ask that you consider what is more real; an invisible spirit on high, or a walking, talking, breathing Goddess who shows you her true form daily? Beyoncé’s spirit is entrancing. We know that she was sent to this place to spread love, peace, and joy. While we do not believe Beyoncé to be the Creator, we recognize that she still sits among the throne of Gods. There is a lot of false information being spread about our beliefs, but we will correct all of the vicious lie-tellers. As Beyoncé spreads her gospel through song and dance, her message provides uplifting, loving, and many times real-life happenings. We humbly ask you to respect our beliefs, just as you want those to respect yours. Open your mind to new possibilities and you will see, just as we did, that Bey is a true higher power. Surfbort!”

They have their own version of the Bible — the Beyble

He adds, “We have published the Beyble and it will soon be available for free to the public. Donations have poured in and we will soon have enough to build a temple in honor of Mother Bey. We will invite her to speak to her flock, once the doors are open.”

Reportedly, The National Church Of Bey is also looking to expand outside of the Atlanta area. According to them, they already have parishes popping up all over the United States, Canada, and England.

Can you believe it? Can this really be happening?

2015 KCSE: Source of Historic Leakage Reveals How It Is Done

By JEMEDARi Mwanawakiume

The confidential report released by the directorate of criminal investigations (DCI) has further revealed that the 2015 Kenya Certificate Secondary Examination leakage that led to the biggest number of exam cheats in the history of Kenyan examinations originated from one teacher in Mandera County.

According to a video viewed by the Daily Nation, the deputy head teacher from a school in Wargadud, on the border of Ethiopia and Kenya, approached police officers where the papers would be stored about four months in advance to hatch the plot on how they would leak the examinations.

“I realized that my students had not adequately covered the syllabus due to absence of teachers in the area after the wave of terrorism. I approached a policeman in the area who linked me up with the officer in charge of the armory at the police station where the exam papers would be stored,” explained the teacher.

In the video recording that had been done secretly, the teacher went on to explain that for KSh 60 000 a week, one of the police officers who breach the seals on the exam packages, take photos using an iPad, reseal them with special glue and sent it to the teacher using a memory card.

“I then resold the exams to all the 115 students at my school for a fee of KSh 5,000 per person. The head boy would collect the money, hand it over to another teacher before the money was handed to me,” added the teacher as quoted in the paper.

The police officer earned KSh 240,000 from leaking the examinations after he also showed the teacher how to break the seals on the exam packages.

The deputy had teacher added that he sent the leaked exam materials to a colleague in Nairobi who in return sent him KSh 200 000. In total, from all the transactions of selling the material, the deputy is said to have earned over KSh 1.5 million.

Also involved in the scam was a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) student who transported leaked material to Nyamira County through private transportation paid for by the deputy teachers. He is said to have also earned millions of shillings.

The DCI report dated December 5, 2015 said that the teacher and his cohorts were arrested but are yet to be charged because they destroyed all the tools with which they used to leak the examinations, including burning the mobile phones and sim cards.

The JKUAT was arrested last week on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 but is yet to be arraigned in court.

The report also questioned the wisdom of storing exam materials in police custody as they were the main source of where leaks begun.

It also exposed the weakness of the seals placed on exam packages, explaining that they were not as secure as the Kenya National Examination Council officials assured the public that they were.

This was after the teacher was recorded unsealing a package, take out the exam papers and reseal it with no one the wiser.

The 2015 exam leakage that saw over 5 000 students have their results cancelled due to cheating led to the sacking of the KNEC officials as loopholes were discovered in the way the exam packages were handled.

A new board was recently appointed to oversee reforms in the examination council.

The previous board’s officials including CEO Joseph Kivilu, Ambia Noor (senior deputy secretary – examinations), Maundu Mantenzawa (deputy secretary – security), Thomas McKenzie (principal examination secretary) and Sarah Majani (senior deputy secretary – reprographics) were directed to record statements with the police over their role in the historic leakage scam.

SHOCKING: Confessions Of a Kenyan Part-Time University Lecturer

Recently the Minister for Education was quoted saying that the quality of education has greatly gone down at the expense of structural advancement at our universities. Having been a university don, no one understands this better than him, but at the same time, to majority of us, he was stating the obvious.

Read the confession of a university lecturer below:

"As a person who has been involved with teaching at the universities for close to five years now, I would like to share with the Minister and those concerned in the sector how in our own small ways we have contributed to the poor quality of education after being pushed so hard against the wall.

With the coming in of parallel system of education in our higher institutions of learning, besides so many inadequacies, the teaching fraternity was not sufficient. This forced universities to go and look for what is called part time lecturers or commonly known as moonlighters. This is how some of us got the opportunity to teach at the universities.
Teaching at the University can be very prestigious, but being a part time lecturer, there is nothing to write home about.

First, there is no dignity in recruitment process as a part timer. You just need to know a friend who can link you up with the persons in charge of the many campuses littered around the country. Like in my case, I have taught many campuses where no one bothered to scrutinize my qualifications and competencies. If you are lucky you get your engagement letter when you are claiming your dues. They do this purposely so that they do not commit themselves in any legal way. I know of a case where someone with a first degree teaching Masters Students and up to this point in time several universities where he is teaching, have not been able to detect this.

Part-time lecturers are poorly remunerated and not on time. As I am writing this, I am still owed my teaching dues for the academic year of 2013/14 by several local universities. Money has value. When you are not paid on time, it affects your plans as a person and you end up in a lot of borrowing to bridge the gap. When you take long to pay me little money, I am not so foolish enough to give the best because I have the feeling that you do not value me. So I will make technical appearances in lecture halls and give irrelevant notes to students. Since our students are also not keen and are interested only in marks, I will ensure that I give them their marks as I patiently wait for my money. In several occasions I have given marks to students which they did not deserve, just to make them happier. When the situation demands, I sell exams in advance to the students so that am able to get fare and pay my rent. Tell me how do you survive a whole year without any income when you have bills to pay?

No one holds us accountable. Because universities are busy constructing and opening new campuses, we operate in a free environment. No systems and mechanisms to monitor and appraise our teaching. In order to maximize our payments when and if they happen, we accept to take so many units from so many campuses. Sometimes some of us teach units that are not even distant relatives to our areas of specializations. This clearly tells you that we hardly find time to do serious academic research before we face the students. So surely, how do you expect quality education from this kind of environment?

The university administrations are interested in expansions especially in buildings not because they love to expand university accessibility but because individually they can benefit from malfunctioning tendering processes in our country. When we question why we are not being paid, the response is that the universities are undertaking huge infrastructural development where all the money ends into. This clearly tells you that most university administrations are not genuine and honest. You can’t fail to pay a lecturer for one or two years and expect quality work from the same person. It is like trying to squeeze water from a stone simply because it has been at the river bed for ages. It cannot work. It will never work.

As part timers, no one listens to us because we are never considered bona fide staff of the universities that we teach. We have no union to speak for us. We are essentially on our own and we operate in an environment where we are viewed suspiciously but as miserable fellows who are not blessed to get full time teaching jobs at the universities.

The universities are concerned with quantity. Many buildings and lots of students, but essentially no education. Our universities are stealing from students and conning our society of the much needed competent and qualified manpower. It doesn’t matter the ranking whether nationally or internationally, the fact of the matter is that as a country our higher education quality has gone to the dogs. I say this with a lot of confidence because I know how hugely I have contributed towards that, and I know it is the trend everywhere.

It is a shame that university leaders are praised and receive lots of accolades due to useless expansions at the expense of quality education for our students. We may not feel the impact now but wait till people start dying because of wrong diagnosis by unqualified doctors or medical personnel. I have taught masters students who cannot even construct a sentence. Probably, am also not able to construct one, but how do universities get to know this?

When graduates go out there it is not about how fancy their universities were, but the content necessary for the labour market. We are the custodians of knowledge as teachers, not buildings. We shall continue to mess around with education in so far as the universities concentrate on the less core activities of their mandate and calling. I will continue to award marks even where it is not deserved. I will continue to make technical appearances in lecture rooms and maximize my dues by teaching several campuses with lots of units. I will give out poorly researched notes from google search until university administrators sober up. It is not my wish, am only trying to survive after the universities ignored my working conditions. Till then, the ignorance cycle continues in our country."

HOW FIVE KNEC OFFICIALS WERE RUNNING EXAM LEAKAGE CARTEL

By JEMEDARI Mwanawakiume

A confidential report prepared by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), says that a cartel lead by at least five key suspects based at the Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) is responsible for examination leaks.
The five top officials and their cartel have been known to operate with knowledge not just from the exam body but also from the police.

The five suspects have been identified as A,B,C,D and E in the DCI report.

The cartel works with some school principals and police officers who provide protection for them according to investigations.

The cartel only leaked the papers to those who paid for it and would give ample time for the students study the sold papers.

“In some schools like Sheikh Khalifa in Mombasa County, a specific fee charged on all students annually ends up in the pockets of the Knec security cartel in exchange for examination leakages,” the report read quoted by the Standard.

The report further says that if anyone tried to cross or expose the cartel they would be killed by the cartel.

“Most Knec officers serving today will tell you that you try to stand in the line of the ‘Knec security cartel’ then be ready to pay with your life. They usually attribute the sudden death of a junior officer named Anyona to this vice,” reads the report.

Bribery and nepotism were also reported to have influenced employment of officials at Knec.

Unqualified personnel were given jobs at the examination body and this negatively impacted the organization creating loopholes that were taken advantage by the cartel.

The cartel colluded with school heads and junior staff at Knec to obtain examinations that were highly secured.

School heads found with leaked examination were never charged or fired but instead bribed their way or would be transferred to other schools.

An example of a principal found with examination material was in 2011 from Sawagongo High School in Siaya County.

The school head with leaked examination materials for papers slated for that week and subsequent weeks.

The principal was arrested and locked up in police custody. However, his principal colleagues contributed money and bribed police officers and the said two Knec officers.

The principal was released and he was never charged before a court of law nor the results of the school cancelled.

The cartel according detectives has also influenced the re-setting of examination papers and then selling them for millions of shillings to potential buyers.

Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi on Thursday, March 24, dissolved the Knec board over 2015 KCSE examinations widespread cheating.

Nine top officials, including Knec CEO Joseph Kivilu were ordered by Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery to record statements with the police in relation to the cheating.

The board was also accused of failing to maintain examination standards as per Section 10 of the KNEC Act No. 29 of 2012.

A new board was formed chaired by former University of Nairobi Vice-Chancellor George Magoha.

ODM: Satan Behind The Falling Down Of Raila

By JEMEDARI Mwanawakiume

A pro-ODM online platform has linked Satan to the falling down of Cord leader Raila Odinga in Malindi.

ODM Media Alert, a propaganda channel for the opposition, said it was the work of the devil that saw Raila and other leaders fall.

“Satan strikes as Raila was preaching the gospel of Jesus during Easter. Satan is real,” reads the caption that accompanied a video recording of the incident.

Those against Raila also had an opposite angle – it was work of God. According to them, Raila Odinga fall was a punishment from heaven after the former prime minister apparently compared himself to God and made a joke out of Jesus’ wilderness story.

The Raila fall hspenned of on Thursday, March 24, infront of hundreds of his supporters.

Raila, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and several members of the opposition fell to the ground after their visibly overcrowded dais collapsed.

Raila, and his co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula, were in Malindi apparently to give support to their coalition members who had been instructed to record statements with the police.

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, and others, had been ordered to record statements over a stripping incident during the March 7, Malindi by-election. Police later cancelled the appointment with Joho citing security threats.

VIDEO: Clip Showing Raila Falling Goes Viral

A video clip showing a raised podium caving in as Cord leaders, including Raila Odinga addressed a rally this past week has caused quite a stir.

The video clip is believed to have been recorded on Thursday March 24 during a Cord rally at the Cleopatra Grounds in Malindi.

Raila alongside Cord co-principals Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka, as well as Governors Hassan Joho and Amason Kingi were in the coastal town to pursue a matter in court.

The incident happened while the leaders addressed a public rally. No one was injured in the fall and raila proceeded with his address moments later.

The video clip has since gone viral on various social media platforms.

SEE THE NEW KENYA NATIONAL EXAMINATION COUNCIL (KNEC)

The senior officials, led by CEO Joseph Kivilu, were also ordered to record statements with the police over cheating in the 2015 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education exams.

Those who were directed to record statements over the 2015 exams cheating, besides Kivilu, are: Ambia Noor (senior deputy secretary – examinations), Maundu Mantenzawa (deputy secretary – security), Thomas McKenzie (principal examination secretary) and Sarah Majani (senior deputy secretary – reprographics).

Bobby Mwai, Geoffrey Gitogo, Michael Ndua and Richard Mwangangi also got similar orders from Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery.

If charged over examination malpractices and found guilty, the officials could each be sentenced to prison for up to five years or be fined a maximum of KSh 1 million; or both.
KCSE 2015 exams saw a 70% increase in students’ cheating incidents (5,101) as compared to 2014 where only 2,975 candidates were involved in exam irregularities.

The KCSE 2015 exams were done
amid concerns of widespread cheating but the council maintained that everything was under control.

PHOTOS: Bel Akinyi-The 'New Socialite' That Got Team Mafisi Drooling

By JEMEDARI Mwanawakiume

On Easter Sunday, one would expect the most discussed topic to be the salvation story and foundation of faith.Yes, on Sunday, March 27, Kenyans on Twitter were talking about Easter until one Bel Akinyi added her thoughts.

“Sorry Jesus had to die for our sins. Now that he has resurrected,he can come relax himself with all this. Love him,” Akinyi posted on her account.

The message could have probably gone unnoticed, were it not for the photo that accompanied it (The photo above). Her selfie, with the breasts almost popping out of the bikini top, got shifted the discussion from Jesus resurrection to Akinyi’s ‘hotness’.

Many compared the political science student's ‘assets’ to those of socialites Vera Sidika and Corazon Kwamboka. Some said that her curves were natural unlike other socialites.

KENYA'S LEADERSHIP: Corruption, Hypocrisy & Power

By M. Otuoro
MORE BY M. OTUORO

My motherland country,
Where I was granted free entry,
To be in but not for eternity,
And to share my mentality,
Without being given a penalty,
By those in automatic authority,
As they express their prosperity,
Over those in perplexed poverty.

A country owned by politicians,
And we as the citizens,
Are included in the future imaginations,
Of the majestic plans,R
Full of hypocrisy and fictions,
Since we have no relations,
The country is for all its dwellers,
But its properties for the leadership champions.

This country full of corruption,
Which improve from generation to generation,
Every effort to stop it leading to mental colonization,
Of anti corruption crusade organization,
To corruption as a profession,
Which all are willing to qualify in its occupation,
As they make new and forget the old reduction,
Not ready to receive corrupt redemption.

A country blinded by hypocrisy,
With no sincere leadership policy,
But rather governed by unprecedented emergency,
With no proper tendency,
Concerning the citizens desires,
Whom are volitional to be martyrs,
To the untrusted leadership promises,
Propelled to be created by political affiliations.

My motherland country of salvation,
Where Christianity reflects high concentration,
Condemning sins like corruption,
As leaders take much precaution,
Eager to put them in motion,
But this need a sacrificial devotion,
Mmm.... Subjects must help with this invention,
But its so sad!! None has the perfection.

Sportpesa ndiyo kampuni maarafu kwenye gulio hili. Kampuni hii imekuwa maarufu kiasi cha kupata pesa za kuthamini Ligi kuu nchini na vile vile kuthamini miamba wa soka nchini AFC LEOPARDS na mabingwa wa ligi Gor mahia.

Uking'wafua mnofu, ukumbuke kugwengwenya mifupa eti.

HEWALA!

MOI UNIVERSITY: abortion, Theft, Murder.....

By M. Otuoro

According to my minds' calculation,
This Campus currently needs a Godly direction,
The ongoing scenes of events are unthinkable revolution,
Let's all seek sincere redemption,
If not we will receive random automatic destruction.

She gave Birth to me and threw me away,
Complaining I will make her life weary,
Forgetting in future she will need me dearly,
Trust me then, her campus life will be history,
Because I will ensure to make her hoary marriage scary.

He cannot control the stealing habit,
Saying that he cannot tolerate his current state,
He wants more to himself and lack a lot,
And his mind once has decided brain cannot detect,
This is just another compus 'game' caused by devil's deceit.

He killed me for a girlfriend,
Whom none of us was aware of her mind,
He gave me no clear warning,
I would have prepare my fellows for mourning,
But don't panic when my blood is hunting.

Everyday has with it yet another error,
Blinding my believe of end of yesterday's horror,
I wish I could be a prophetess to prophecies tomorrows' terror,
Be careful and clever on what awaits you anytime Omera,
And should know that the world only demands a smart dealer.

THE END OF BLACK WEEK: Riots In Moi University After Student is Found Dead

Moi University-Main Campus, was today a no-go-zone following student riots that erupted after a comrade was found dead on the morning of Friday, March 25.

The student many know as "Alcatel" or just "Catel" arrived in his friends room on the morning (at about 1 a.m) of Friday, March 25, with injuries which he attributed to an attack while he walked in the nearby Mabatini Shopping Centre.

His friends, who reside in a hostel outside the institution, thought the injuries were not too serious to need medical attention at the time and so invited him for a sleep over until dawn when he can access the university dispensary.

"Alcatel" who resides in C Houses, one of the halls of residence in Moi University which are poorly gated and it neighbours the surrounding village, could not wake on Friday morning and upon inquiry, his roommates were shocked to realize he had succumbed. They called the medical personnel for the dispensary who confirmed he had succumbed to the injuries.

The police delay to reach the site made the students irate. They picked the body and walked to the university dispensary where they took stretcher, carried the deceased body and started matching towards the Kesses police station to protest lack of security in the institution.

Police who had been alerted and arrived to collect the body were barred by the protesting students.

A confrontation ensued as police robbed teargas canisters and allegedly used live bullets to push the rioting students back to the campus.

The police are said to have followed the students into their hostels where they lobbed the teargas canisters.

The latest comes just a day after a villager was killed by the students along the university’s academic way on suspicions that he was a thief.

This is not the first time a student is found dead at the university. In 2015, a female student was found raped and brutally murdered near the university’s main stage, sparking massive riots that saw a police van torched and property destroyed.

The student, Charity Kimani, was known among many students as she a staunch christian in the Christian Union.

Bellow are images circulating online apparently showing how police who came to quell the riots used live bullets,  omething that seems to have angered thethe students even more.
