A pro-ODM online platform has linked Satan to the falling down of Cord leader Raila Odinga in Malindi.
ODM Media Alert, a propaganda channel for the opposition, said it was the work of the devil that saw Raila and other leaders fall.
“Satan strikes as Raila was preaching the gospel of Jesus during Easter. Satan is real,” reads the caption that accompanied a video recording of the incident.
Those against Raila also had an opposite angle – it was work of God. According to them, Raila Odinga fall was a punishment from heaven after the former prime minister apparently compared himself to God and made a joke out of Jesus’ wilderness story.
The Raila fall hspenned of on Thursday, March 24, infront of hundreds of his supporters.
Raila, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and several members of the opposition fell to the ground after their visibly overcrowded dais collapsed.
Raila, and his co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula, were in Malindi apparently to give support to their coalition members who had been instructed to record statements with the police.
Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, and others, had been ordered to record statements over a stripping incident during the March 7, Malindi by-election. Police later cancelled the appointment with Joho citing security threats.
