Moi University has retained its bragging rights as the best engineering institution of higher learning at the ongoing Eldoret Agricultural Society of Kenya (ASK) exhibition show. The institution that prides in its motto, “Foundation of Knowledge” also topped in the category of Best University stand.
Moi University entered to compete in five categories and emerged best in two, and came second in three. It emerged second in the categories of Best Innovation and Invention Stand, Best Institution of Higher Learning in Developing Advanced Technology and Best Stand Embracing Information Technology and Communication System.
Moi University show organizing committee vice chairman, Prof. Timothy Sulo, said although the three categories slipped off the grip of the institution, they have learnt where to improve and was upbeat that next year they will clinch all the categories.
“This is a learning point and we have identified areas where we need to improve so that we recapture top positions in all our entry categories. I would like to assure the world that next year we shall top in all the categories at Eldoret show,” said Prof. Sulo.
All the 15 Schools of Moi University are at the show to showcase their best practices, innovations and programmes. The unique programmes and innovations made by Moi University have attracted large numbers of show-goers to throng the University stands to see for themselves and learn.

3. Business and Economics
4. Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management
5. Education
6. Aerospace Sciences
7. Information Sciences
8. Public Health
9. Arts and Social Sciences
10. Human Resource Development
11. Biological and Physical Sciences
12. Nursing, Dentistry, Medicine and Law.
The Alumni Office and the International Office are also present to showcase their products. Moi University is also set to participate in the forthcoming Commission of University Education (CUE) exhibition to be held in Mombasa between March 17 and 19, 2016.
Kenya Television Service (KTS) and Moi University Radio (MU Radio), both owned by Moi University, have boosted the coverage of the show through live streaming of events from the ground.
