Also on the welcome roster was a group of Botswana traditional dancers who entertained the president.
A video posted on Uhuru Kenyatta’s official Facebook page shows the warm welcome he received, including the dance moves and a song praising him as a fine King of the region, which left him visibly entertained.
President Kenyatta began his three-day state visit in the country with a 21 guard salute and a full guard of honour.
A state luncheon was later in the day prepared in honour of Kenyatta.
During his stay in the Southern Africa country, Kenyatta will discuss among other issues trade and economic ties between Kenya and Botswana, that will encompass industry and manufacturing, mining and tourism.
