HERE IS THE NEW COACH OF K'OGALO

Gor Mahia set to unveil brazilian ze maria as their new coach on friday.

Sportpesa Premier League (SPL) reigning champions Gor Mahia will on Friday, March 11, unveil their new coach Brazilian Jose Marcelo Ferreira.

Ferreira, popularly known as Ze Maria, is set to arrive in Nairobi on March 9 and then be unveiled on the following day.

He will replace Scotsman Frank Nuttal who quit the club.

According to dimbasports.com , Gor officials have said that they have multiple applications but Ze Mahia CV impressed them.

Ze Maria, was a member of the Brazil lineup that clinched bronze in the 1996 Olympic games in Atlanta.

He played 25 times for Brazil and was was proposed by his Kenyan based Italian agent immediately Nuttall quit the club.

On Monday, March 7, the day after AFC Leopards beat Gor 1-0 in SPL, the Green Army coach went to Egypt to take up the role of assistant coach at Egyptian giants Zamalek.

“ Yes I can confirm that we will be having a new coach by the end of the week. A ticket has already been sent and he arrives on Thursday and should be introduced to the players and the press on Friday ,” Gor Mahia secretary Ronald Ngala told dimbasports.com

Ze Maria will be accompanied by a fitness coach while Frank Ouna will deputise Ze Maria.

He was born in born in 1973 and was a good midfielder, spending most of his time at Italian Serie A. He featured for Perugia, Parma and Inter Milan clubs. He later joined Levante of Spain.
He retired in 2008 and pioneered Perugia Football School.

He has coached Serie D side S.S.D. Group Citta di Castello and and FC Catanzaro but didnt make much impact.
