GOR SUPER FAN JARO SOJA ARRESTED BY POLICE

The most decorated Gor Mahia fan Jacob Otieno, has been arrested today morning and escorted to Langata Police Station for questioning on allegations that he assaulted the club’s official. He is likely to appear in court tomorrow.

Jaro Soja is accused of of fueling some fans to attack Gor Organising Secretary David Kilo after they were beaten by CNaPs of Madagascer 2-1 in the first leg of 2016 continental encounter played at Nyayo Stadim on February 13, 2016.

Also known as Jaro Soja, he appeared at the Nyayo Police Post on March 3, to record a statement over allegations that he led a group of hooligans in assaulting a club official during the confederation of African Football (Caf) match.

But he was told to report on the same station on Tuesday, March 8 for the matter to be resolved between him and the complainant.

Kilo had alleged that he was harmed and sought medication at a Nairobi hospital.

Some Gor fans through Facebook have appealed to fellow supporters to contribute cash that will be used to bail him out.

On Sunday, Gor played AFC Leopards in the game dubbed ‘Mashemeji Derby’ that saw Ingwe emerge the winner at Safaricom Kasarani Stadium.

A day later, Gor coach frank Nutall resigned and joined Zamalek of Egypt citing frustration by the club’s management.

There has been unease at Sportpesa Premier League reigning champions and some fans have been calling for the elections.
